CitiPark Clipstone Street, London – Freeflow Car Park Solution

Problem

Nestled in the vibrant vicinity of one of London’s renowned landmarks, the BT Tower, lies CitiPark Clipstone Street. Situated within the dynamic Fitzrovia area of London, this car park boasts 156 spaces for vehicles. Previously, the facility operated as a barrier-controlled car park, regulating entry and exit. However, the system faced challenges as some parkers exploited loopholes without facing any repercussions for their actions.

Solution

Earlier this year, BaySentry implemented a cutting-edge free flow car parking solution, deploying two Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras strategically. These cameras were installed as an ANPR bollard at the entry point and a wall-mounted camera at the exit.

As a result, the traditional barriers were eliminated, and the car parking system transitioned into a seamless free flow model integrated with BaySentry’s enforcement mechanism. Consequently, any individuals exiting the car park without completing payment are promptly issued Parking Charge Notices (PCNs).
